MoTeC BR2 Beacon Receiver

BTX, BRX & BR2 Lap Beacon System. The MoTeC Lap Beacon consists of a Beacon Transmitter (BTX) and a Beacon Receiver (BR2). The Beacon Transmitter is mounted beside the track and the Beacon Receiver is mounted on the vehicle and connected to a display, data logging or an Engine Management System. The Lap Beacon system is used to mark the start and end of laps. This information can then be used by a display to show the driver lap times and lap numbers, while a MoTeC SDL or ADL2 Dash Logger can add extra functionality such as lap time gain/loss, running lap time and more. The lap beacon may also be used to generate split times by placing multiple transmitters around the race circuit. The BR2 can run in either CAN or Switched modes. The BR2 CAN networking mode sends information about all detected beacon transmitters, numbers, noise levels, timing, diagnostic and other information to your ADL, and is essential in optimising your beacon set–up.
