The Spanish pilot Maria de Villota has obtained today his first victory in the German Championship of Tourism ADAC Procar, in the circuit of Nürburgring and to the controls of the Chevrolet Lacetti WTC of the equipment Maurer Motorsport, which him catapult to the second seat in the general classification of the contest.

Maria has demonstrated a very high rate throughout the weekend, and proof of it is that it had obtained the second best time in training, to less than two tenth of the Pole Position. Thence it has taken the exit in the first sleeve, and has carried out a very clean race in which it did not force at the beginning to surpass to BMW de Franz Engstler with the hope to separate of the group pursuer. The objectivewas obtained, but an aggressive completion prevented him to make in front in the last compasses of the race to the only rival who preceded to him, so she gave by good the second position in race.

The second sleeve was more exciting for Maria, because it attacked from the beginning, knowledgeable of its strongpoints, and it even snatched the first position to him to BMW in the third return of the race, touching itself with Engstler. From there, it has maintained a difficult duel with the German, who has struck to him in diverse occasions until loosen to the back bumper of the Chevrolet de Maria. He himself has caused damages in his car and finally these have delayed to him in the classification, while Maria rolled to a very high and constant rate that has allowed to mark the fast return him in race and to surpass in more than ten seconds his immediate pursuer, Philip Geipel.



Of this form, Maria has obtained a clear victory in Nürburgring that seals the successes that until now that has obtained in this championship and him catapult until the second position of the general classification, with four points of advantage on the Russian Vladimir Labazov. 


Like curiosity, to stand out that third classified she has been Sebastian Stahl, nephew of heptacampeón world-wide of Formula 1 Michael Schumacher.

These are the impressions of Maria de Villota at the end of this victorious weekend for the only feminine representative of the championship: “To gain a race in the ADAC Procar it has an enormous meaning for me and all the equipment, because it demonstrates the clear progression that we have made to approach us until the now all-powerful one BMW. The equipment is full and I also, because the fight has been very intense, mainly when have advanced assuming risks and soon I have had to support envites of my rival in the back. To be seconds in the championship is the great news, and a test of the fantastic work that has made the equipment whole. Very I am deluded and loaded of moral, that arrives the next races already”.

The next appointment of the ADAC Procar will take place next days 15 and 16 of September in the German circuit of Sachsenring.
